Why we do what we do!
Call us crazy, but we believe that ADHD isn't a limiting factor! It's challenging and overwhelming at times, but did you know that children with ADHD are primed for high achievement?!
Blessed with a variety of superpowers, such as hyperfocus, bigger-than-life imaginations and endless energy, children with ADHD are like a supercharged engine! The trick is helping them discover healthy outlets for all that energy!
Our mission is to help families embrace and organize the wild of ADHD so children can realize their full potential and families can live happier and healthier lives!
It's Personal to Us
Our personal journey with ADHD began in 2010, when our son entered preschool and was initially diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD).
It was difficult to get the answers we needed, and find that crucial balance between work, home and school.
The lack of a coordinated, whole-child approach meant that we were searching for answers and solutions through a complex practice of trial and error. (If you've been down this path, you know how challenging it is!)
It would take years to obtain a full diagnosis (ADHD, SPD, anxiety and gifted/2e), develop a successful treatment plan and learn to navigate the education system. Those years were isolating and exhausting!
I longed for a streamlined process that accounted for all the variations and challenges, as well as a positive community embracing the gifts of children with attention, sensory and anxiety challenges.
Thus, Ivy Wild Kids was born! We are passionate about helping families learn to embrace and organize the wild of ADHD, so children can realize their full potential and families can live happier and healthier lives!
I am so glad you are here and I hope you will join us in the community!
